What they do
A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Overview Must be open to work nights, weekends, and alternate if needed. We are looking for a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) to join our team and care for our diverse patient population. The ideal candidate will have prior inpatient hospital experience or a desire and commitment to learn. Provides phlebotomy and basic laboratory testing for the patient population as required or requested. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.Qualifications Education and Training:
Must be certified or licensed in the state where the hospital resides to practice respiratory care. Must possess and maintain current BLS and ACLS certification. Blood gas licensure required if employed in the state of Nevada. For hospitals that perform arterial punctures and/or run blood gases, at least a high school diploma is required, preferably an associate degree.Experience:
