Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Step into a vital clinical environment as a skilled Respiratory Therapist, delivering important care and support to patients in a hospital setting. Use your advanced knowledge to provide respiratory assessments, interventions, and patient education over a period of 13 weeks. Your expertise will be valued on a team dedicated to outstanding patient outcomes.
Schedule:
3 shifts per week, 12-hour days 7:00 am to 7:30 pm Specific days to be determined during the interview process
Qualifications:
Current credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Valid Connecticut state license Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Previous experience in a hospital or acute care environment preferred Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Key Responsibilities:
Perform respiratory therapy procedures, including administering oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and aerosol treatments Conduct patient assessments and monitor respiratory status Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to develop and implement individualized care plans Provide education to patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and equipment use Accurately document all treatments, responses, and progress in the electronic medical record Enjoy working in a supportive, patient-centered environment where your clinical skills and dedication will make a meaningful difference.
