Full Job Description Location:
Hollywood, Florida Patients depend on our team for the best in evidence-based care and innovative therapies, such as inhaled nitric oxide, high-frequency oscillation, and invasive and non-invasive ventilator support modalities. Opportunities exist for motivated Registered Respiratory Therapists (and Certified Respiratory Therapy Technicians) with the skills to provide a high level of quality service in a variety of settings including the ED, Trauma and Critical Care.
Summary:
Supervises daily staff activities for Cardiopulmonary services.
  • 3•12 hour shifts; flexible schedule; weekends on rotation, as needed •
Responsibilities:
Performs staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levels. Leads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaints.

Assesses quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programs. Ensures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures and protocols.

Provides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staff. Assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.

Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels.

Complexity of Work:
Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Required Work Experience:
Three (3) years of related experience.
Other Information:
  • Can be licensed as RT or TT. National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) is preferred.
