Qualifications/Experience:
Active Registered Respiratory Therapist credential Minimum 2-3 years of current experience, including recent independent bedside management of ventilated patients Proficient experience with the Servo U ventilator in a NICU setting Familiarity with ventilator settings, modes, and troubleshooting Additional proficiency with Drager, Bunnell Jet Vent, Sensormedic 3100A oscillator, and Nitric Oxide (preferred) Ability to adapt in high-acuity, fast-paced environments Strong communication and critical thinking skills
Responsibilities:
Independently manage and monitor ventilated patients in neonatal and pediatric intensive care units Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver optimal respiratory support Operate a range of ventilatory equipment, adjusting modes/settings as required Educate families and provide compassionate patient care Respond swiftly to emergency situations and provide life support as needed Document treatments and patient responses accurately
