Job Description

DME RESPIRATORY THERAPIST JCR MEDICAL EQUIPMENT
Sanford, FL Job Details Full-time $70,000 - $80,000 a year 5 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications PALS Certification BLS Certification Mechanical ventilation monitoring Schedule management Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machines State-specific respiratory therapist license Bilevel positive airway pressure (BiPAP) machines Working with families Patient interaction Full Job Description Respiratory Therapist (RRT / CRT) - DME / Home Health Miami, FL Full-Time, or Per Diem We're looking to bring on an experienced Respiratory Therapist to support our DME and home-based respiratory program. This role is hands-on and field-based, working directly with patients in their homes—many of whom are medically complex and require a higher level of respiratory support. Our patient population ranges from pediatric to adult, including ventilator-dependent individuals. Because of that, we are specifically looking for someone who is comfortable with ventilator setups and ongoing management in the home setting. What the role looks like day-to-day: You'll be going into patients' homes to set up and manage respiratory equipment—oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilators. A big part of the role is making sure everything is set up correctly from the start, including circuits, alarms, and safety checks. You'll also spend time educating patients and caregivers. That includes walking them through how to use the equipment, what to do if something isn't working, and how to handle emergencies. Follow-up visits are just as important—making sure the patient is tolerating therapy, the equipment is working properly, and nothing has changed clinically. Documentation is part of the role as well, especially making sure everything supports medical necessity and aligns with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements and accreditation expectations like Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC).
What we need from you:
Active Florida license as an RRT or CRT Ventilator setup and management experience (this is required) Comfortable working with oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and vent patients Current BLS and PALS certifications Ability to work independently and manage your schedule in the field Strong communication skills—you'll be working closely with families and caregivers Helpful, but not required: Experience in DME or home health Pediatric or trach/vent patient experience Familiarity with Medicare documentation Why this role works for the right person: This is not a desk job. You'll have a lot of independence, but also the support of a clinical team behind you. If you enjoy working directly with patients and making a real difference—especially in more complex cases—you'll find this role rewarding. We're growing, so there's also room to expand your role over time if that's something you're looking for. If you're interested, send over your resume and we can set up a time to talk.
