What they do
A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Job Description
Responsibilities include:
Providing patient care for over 25,000 individuals annually across a 427-bed facility. Managing care in a Level 2 Trauma Center with ICU, CICU, and NICU units. Following RT procedures and protocols to ensure quality treatment.Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy Sciences. Previous experience or clinical rotations preferred; new grads are welcome. Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State of Georgia. Current BCLS and ACLS certifications. Strong communication skills.Key duties:
