A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

12-Hour Days (7:00 AM

•7:30 PM | Schedule varies with every other weekend)

Hours:

36 hours/week guaranteed

Target Start Date:

September 21, 2026

•January 9, 2027

Pay Rate:

$1,800

•$1,900/week (DOE)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 16-week travel contract in Atlanta, GA. You will join the Respiratory Care & Diagnostic Services team handling acute and critical respiratory care protocols within a high-volume hospital setting.

Key Highlights Guaranteed Hours:

36 hours per week (3x12-hour day shifts).

Setting:

Dedicated Respiratory Care & Diagnostic Services department.

Overtime:

Daily OT after 24 hours, weekly OT after 40 hours.

Holiday Coverage:

Must work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve).

Requirements & Qualifications Experience:

Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience as an RRT.

Licensure:

Active, unrestricted Georgia State Respiratory Care Professional License.

Credentials:

Active RRT Credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

Certifications:

Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.

Radius Rule:

Travel candidates only; permanent residence must be more than 50 miles from the facility.

References:

Must provide 2 clinical supervisory references.
