Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Respiratory Tech to provide safe, evidence-based respiratory care across inpatient and emergency settings. Responsibilities include assessing patients, administering oxygen and aerosol therapies, managing ventilators under physician direction, and performing and interpreting arterial blood gases. The tech will document care in the EMR, follow infection control standards, and respond to rapid response and code situations. Responsibilities Assess respiratory status and document findings in the EMRAdminister oxygen, aerosol, and nebulizer therapies per protocol Set up, monitor, and adjust mechanical ventilators under physician direction Perform and assist with arterial blood gas sampling and basic interpretation Respond to rapid response and code situations with appropriate respiratory support Follow infection control and safety procedures for all respiratory equipment Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other team members on care plans Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and equipment use Maintain accurate documentation of all treatments and patient responses Participate in ongoing training and competency validation as required Required Skills Respiratory assessment Mechanical ventilation management Arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation Airway management Nebulizer and aerosol therapy Oxygen therapy Patient monitoring and documentation Infection control procedures Electronic medical record (EMR) use CPR and emergency response
