Description:
7:00AM-5:00PM with the option of on call pay ($80.00) per day if living within 30 minutes from facility. Respiratory Therapist We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide specialized respiratory care to patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders, ensuring they receive the highest quality treatment and support. Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, monitor, and treat patients with respiratory conditions such as asthma, COPD, and other cardiopulmonary diseases Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and aerosol medications Conduct diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests and blood gas analyses Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatment options, and proper use of respiratory equipment Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, treatment progress, and medical records Ensure the proper maintenance and calibration of respiratory equipment and devices Adhere to safety protocols and infection control standards to protect patients and staff
Skills and Qualifications:
Valid licensure or certification as a Respiratory Therapist (e.g., RRT or CRT credential) Proven experience in a clinical respiratory therapy setting Strong knowledge of respiratory care procedures, equipment, and protocols Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team Join our organization and be part of a supportive, innovative environment dedicated to advancing respiratory health.
