Qualifications and Experience:
Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required Valid state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist Demonstrated experience providing comprehensive respiratory therapy in acute care or hospital settings Strong knowledge of ventilators, airway management, and pulmonary diagnostics Evidence of current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS, PALS, or NRP preferred Excellent communication and critical thinking skills Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
Administer therapeutic respiratory treatments and diagnostic procedures based on physician orders and established protocols Perform ventilator management, monitor patient responses, and adjust interventions as needed Assess patient status, interpret laboratory/diagnostic data, and document care thoroughly and accurately Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies, equipment use, and self-care techniques Respond promptly to emergency situations and participate actively in code responses or rapid response teams Ensure a safe, clean, and organized workspace following infection control guidelines
