1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a NICU night shift assignment requiring 1+ year of Neonatal ICU or PICU critical care experience and PALS certification. Details Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting within the respiratory therapy department Uses Servo U and Drager VN500 ventilators, F&P Bubble CPAP, HFOV, HFJV, Vaportherm, and heliox therapy equipment Documentation via Epic EMR Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts 13-week assignment length Requirements Active RRT license required if applicable Current PALS certification required Current NRP certification required for staff caring for neonates Minimum 1 year of Neonatal ICU or PICU critical care experience required Must independently admit and manage ventilated patients in Peds ICU using Servo-U ventilator Experience setting up and managing heliox therapy through invasive and non-invasive measures Familiarity with non-invasive ventilation including BiPAP and CPAP Neonatal skills including Bubble CPAP, nitric oxide administration, and high frequency ventilation No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration Additional Information Care for critically ill neonatal and pediatric patients requiring advanced respiratory support Work within a Level I trauma center and the region's only children's hospital Hunter Green scrub color required as part of dress code Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted One professional reference required for most states, two required for Florida and Missouri
