A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Nights Location:

Hilo, HI 96720

Pay:

$60/hour

Schedule:

3 × 12-hour night shifts per week (36 hours/week)

Shift:

6:30 PM - 7:00

AM Contract:

13-week initial contract with potential extension

EPIC Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist Tech for a night-shift contract assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of respiratory care experience and be comfortable caring for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients . No first assignments. Previous experience in the role is required. General Job Duties Provide continuous airway management. Manage and provide support for ventilators and non-invasive ventilators. Provide all aspects of respiratory care. Consult with physicians regarding respiratory care needs. Perform CPR and respond to respiratory emergencies. Provide respiratory care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations. Equipment Used EPIC computerized charting Pyxis medication management PB 980 ventilators PB 840 ventilators V60 Para Pac Transport Ventilator Requirements Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy/respiratory care experience Must have experience caring for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients Hawaii Respiratory Therapy License required

BLS/BCLS
