A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.
Epic 1 . Mandatory Requirements to Apply Active Hawaii Respiratory Therapy License required. Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapy experience required. Experience caring for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients required. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required. RRT preferred; NRP preferred. Must have strong experience with airway management, ventilator support, and non-invasive ventilation (NIV) . First-time travelers/first assignments are not accepted. 2. Roles & Responsibilities Provide comprehensive respiratory care and continuous airway management for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Manage and support mechanical ventilators and non-invasive ventilation (NIV) according to patient needs and clinical protocols. Perform respiratory assessments, treatments, and related procedures while monitoring patient response. Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team regarding respiratory status and treatment plans. Respond to emergencies and provide CPR and advanced respiratory support when required. Accurately document patient care and respiratory interventions in Epic EMR . 3. Bonus & Benefits + Salary Local Contract $60/hour taxable 36 hours/week $2,160 weekly gross 13-week contract
