What they do
A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months. 3 months of travel experience is required. Experience with Epic is preferred.

Unit Details:
Cares for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. Provide continuous airway management; ventilator and non-invasive ventilator management and support; physician consulting; CPR; and all aspects of respiratory care. Uses Pyxis medication management, PB 980 and PB 840 ventilators, V60, and Para Pac transport ventilator.
Shift & Scheduling:
Holidays as required. 14 days maximum time off 1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months Driver's license required
