RESPONSIBILITIES I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises the day-to-day operations, and coordination and integration of services, programs, and activities of the Cardiopulmonary department. Ensures operations and functions are in compliance with regulatory requirements and the policies and procedures of The Queen's Health Systems (QHS) and Queen's North Hawaii Community Hospital. Serves as the department head in the absence of the Manager as assigned.

III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS

Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions. Subjected to noise/vibrations from intercoms, telephones, and monitors. Exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases. Frequently works on multiple tasks and priorities at one time.

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE

Current Hawaii State license as a Respiratory Therapist. Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred. Current BLS certification. Current ACLS certification. Current PALS certification. Current NRP certification.

B. EXPERIENCE

Minimum three (3) years as a respiratory therapist in an acute care facility. Prior supervisory/leadership experience. Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Vet Your Health.
