The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. A typical day for a Per Diem Respiratory Therapist may include: Performing basic and advanced respiratory therapy procedures within the scope of respiratory patient care services. Assessing patients and providing respiratory treatments based on physician orders and established clinical protocols. Transcribing and implementing physician orders accurately and efficiently. Administering oxygen therapy and monitoring patient response. Utilizing advanced assessment skills to identify changes in patient condition and adjust care as appropriate. Managing and monitoring patients requiring ventilator support. Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care. Documenting patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in the electronic medical record. Ensuring compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. To be considered for this Per Diem Respiratory Therapist opportunity: Graduate of an NBRC-approved School of Respiratory Care . Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) . Current New Jersey State Respiratory Care License . Successful completion of all required orientation and onboarding programs. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain per organizational requirements).
