Job Summary Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Decatur, Illinois. This position involves providing pediatric respiratory care within a Level II nursery and other patient populations, including neonates through geriatrics, in an acute care facility. The candidate will perform routine respiratory procedures, manage ventilators, and respond to emergency codes as needed, supporting both daytime and nighttime shifts.

Job Details Schedule:

Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications:

Illinois State license, ACLS, BLS, PALS, RRT certifications, and a minimum of 0 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:

Community hospital experience, Level I or II trauma experience, Neonatal/Pediatrics setting experience, and Cerner charting system experience

Float:

Float rotation may be required to meet facility needs, including within scope of practice

Additional Information:

The role includes assisting with bronchoscopies, night and day

SAT / SBT

responsibilities, and responding to emergency department calls for codes, traumas, and severe respiratory distress. The position covers all age groups and diagnoses, with special emphasis on neonatal and pediatric care during RSV season utilizing high-flow nasal cannula and other specialized equipment including Drager V500 ventilators, EV 300 Bipaps, V60 Bipaps, and ResMed PAP devices.
