Hours:

Shifts will vary Monday-Friday from 6:30am-7pm, 6:30pm-7am, 6:30am-3pm, or 2:30pm-11pm with rotating weekends and holidays What you will do: Assists Physicians, as requested with Respiratory Therapy procedures

Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as ordered by physicians according hospital policy and procedures

Assess patients to determine most suitable method of administering treatment

Document treatment, equipment maintenance and quality control activities and transcribe verbal or phone order by physicians

Communicate to patient and family the treatment being performed in a clear manner

Monitor patient physiological response to therapy with special attention to the pediatric and neonatal patients

Provide patient and staff education What you will need:

Education:

Graduation from a nationally accredited Respiratory Therapy program, as determined by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC), required

License/Certifications:

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or proof of registry eligible status, required

State of Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure within six months of employment, required

Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association, required

ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required within 24 months of employment Benefits (For full time or part time positions): Premium pay such as shift, on call, holiday and more based on an employee's job
