Whether our residents are with us for short-term rehabilitation or long-term care, our interdisciplinary team works together to deliver exceptional clinical outcomes and enhance quality of life. We are currently seeking a Licensed Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our team. The ideal candidate is compassionate, knowledgeable, and committed to providing high-quality respiratory care while collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities Assess, evaluate, and monitor residents with respiratory conditions. Administer physician-ordered respiratory treatments, oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and breathing therapies. Monitor residents receiving oxygen therapy and adjust equipment as ordered. Perform respiratory assessments and document findings accurately and timely. Educate residents, families, and staff on respiratory treatments, equipment, and disease management. Assist with emergency respiratory situations and respond promptly to changes in resident condition. Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to ensure safe operation. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility policies and infection control standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff education as needed. Qualifications Current Illinois Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required. Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Current CPR/BLS certification required. Long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or hospital experience preferred. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Compassionate, dependable, and committed to resident-centered care.
