WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients while working closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team.
Key responsibilities include:
Perform respiratory therapy treatments and diagnostic procedures according to physician orders Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, airway clearance therapies, and other respiratory treatments Assist with ventilator management and advanced respiratory support Provide respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients Monitor patient responses to respiratory treatments Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team Support positive patient outcomes through compassionate, patient-centered care Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program Current Illinois Respiratory Therapist license or eligibility Current ACLS certification Candidates awaiting licensure may be considered with a letter of authority, provided state requirements are met
Preferred:
Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
