A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

RCP License Full Job Description Role Overview:
Provides respiratory care to diverse patient populations, including therapeutic treatments and bedside diagnostic procedures.Key Responsibilities:
Reviews and maintains respiratory care plans, performs patient evaluations, and adjusts treatments accordingly. Acts as a preceptor for students and new staff to support their learning and integration. Complete patient assessments and deliver appropriate respiratory therapies. Assist in training and mentorship of new hires and students. Maintain accurate documentation of care plans and procedures.Qualifications & Skills:
Must graduate from a respiratory therapy program, hold a valid NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist credential, and possess a current Indiana State license. CPR certification is required, with ACLS and NRP certifications preferred or obtainable within 6 months.Additional Requirements:
Ability to be on call, lift up to 30 pounds, and adapt to various clinical settings.Benefits
