A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

We are located in the heart of Greenfield, IN on the 3rd floor of Hancock Regional Hospital. AMG Specialty Hospital - Hancock Campus is seeking PRN Respiratory Therapists (RT) for All Shifts! RT is responsible for the performance of technical work concerned with administering therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities. Operating and monitoring respiratory equipment, such as, continuous and intermittent ventilators, medical gas delivery apparatus, incentive breathing/hyperinflation devices, environmental control systems, and aerosol devices; administering medical gases, humidification, aerosols, and respiratory medications; maintaining clearance of patients natural and artificial airways; obtaining blood samples and interpreting blood gas data; and providing primary assistance in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Job Requirements Completion of an approved respiratory care program Active Indiana Respiratory Therapist License. Current BLS certification. Current ACLS certification Minimum of one to three years of related work experience.
