A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Job Description

A leading healthcare provider in the Wabash Valley is seeking a licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) to join a collaborative clinical team. This role provides comprehensive respiratory care in a 24-hour hospital setting. Full-Time & PRN Night Shifts Available Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus $27-$38/hr plus $2/hr PRN Shift Differential; $5/hr FT Shift Differential; $5/hr

Weekend Differential Responsibilities:

Perform respiratory assessments and deliver airway management and ventilator support Administer respiratory treatments and therapies Develop and implement patient care plans using evidence-based practice Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and treatments Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program Registered (RRT) or Certified (CRT) Respiratory Therapist Active Indiana Respiratory Practitioner license Current BLS/CPR certification Ability to work flexible shifts (days, nights, weekends)
