Responsibilities

+ W ill provide treatments such as inhalation therapies, oxygen therapy, and aerosol medications to help patients breathe more easily

+ C onduct tests like pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis to assess lung capacity and gas exchange in patients

+ S et up, monitor , and adjust ventilators and other life-supporting equipment for patients who cannot breathe independently

+ M ay be part of a rapid response team in emergencies, which you will provid e airway management, perform intubations, and resuscitat e patients in critical situations

+ A ssess patients' respiratory status, monitor their progress, and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed

+ E nsure that all respiratory equipment is properly cleaned , sterilized, and maintained to prevent infections and ensure patient safety Qualifications

+ Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner ( RCP ) license required

+ Current Registered Respiratory Therapist ( RRT ) from the National Board of Respiratory Care ( NBRC ) or obtained within three (3) months of hire

+ Basic Life Support ( BLS ) certified from the American Heart Association ( AHA ) or American Red Cross ( ARC ) upon hire and maintain current

+ Adult Cardiac Life Support ( ACLS ) from the AHA or ARC certification upon hire and maintain current

+ Pediatric Advanced Life Support ( PALS ) from the AHA certification upon hire and maintain current or obtained within 60 days of hire

+ Neonatal Resuscitation Program certificate is preferred

+ Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred

+ Two (2) years of acute care experience is preferred
