RCP License Full Job Description Description:
As a Respiratory Therapist you will be responsible for the set-up of related products for patients in the home setting, including therapeutics, diagnostics, high tech ventilation, oxygen, and other miscellaneous respiratory equipment. This is a field-based, hands-on respiratory therapist/leadership position that requires a candidate with the drive and skill to be a respiratory caregiver, patient advocate, and positive representative of PromptCare. This responsibility extends to a 24-hour basis in coordination with the department Manager. It also extends on a 24-hour / 7-day basis in accordance with the nature of care which PromptCare provides.
Job Type:
Non-Exempt, Full/Time, 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri 9:00 am-5:30 pm with on-call responsibilities.
Requirements:
Must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory School Must have current Respiratory Care Practitioner state licensure in the state inquiring employment and in good standing Must be willing to get cross-licensed in other states at the company's expense Must have a valid driver's license and automobile insurance in good standing At least 1 year experience as a working Respiratory Therapist is required Experience in the home care setting is highly desirable RRT certification required Current
CPR- BLS
certification required Must have adequate PC skills to use e-mail and update notes and other documentation electronically in a timely manner Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to: Provides patients and family members with timely and accurate information and takes appropriate corrective actions regarding our services to ensure complete satisfaction Ability to initiate and develop good working relationships with patients, family members and referral sources is essential Ensures that the team plans daily events so as to be as efficient as possible with time management (e.g., minimizes travel time by planning routes ahead of time) Assists with the proper scheduling of set ups and follow up visits according to company policies and standards Works closely with the RT Clinical Liaisons in coordinating patient discharges Ability to properly triage problems in the field in accordance with company standards and other verbal and written training policies Ensures that the team follows proper procedures for accurate and timely documentation of patient concerns, and most importantly, takes appropriate corrective actions Maintains strong knowledge of PromptCare's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensures that they are applied consistently Ensures that the team maintains compliance to all applicable laws, regulations and SOPs at all times Fosters a culture wherein the team conducts activities with a mindset of delivering "white glove" service to the patients and family members Submits expense reports for travel at least once monthly and in a timely manner On-call responsibilities as needed Other Duties as assigned Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing job duties, the employee is frequently required to communicate verbally and listen attentively. This position is highly active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, climbing, maneuvering in small areas and frequently lifting and/or moving 30 pounds or more.
