What they do
A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care for patients of varying acuity levels. Administer therapeutic modalities such as oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, and inhalation treatments. Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams to deliver patient-centered care. Perform diagnostic procedures, including arterial blood gases and pulmonary function tests. Accurately document care activities and patient progress in electronic health records. Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and equipment usage.Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active and unrestricted license as a Respiratory Therapist. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required. Minimum of one year recent clinical experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for patient and team interactions. BLS and ACLS certification (or ability to obtain before starting).Benefits & Travel Perks:
