13-Week Contract Schedule Information Night shift 13-week assignment Respiratory Therapist Requirements Active respiratory therapy license valid in Kentucky Applicable respiratory therapy certification required Minimum of two years of recent respiratory therapy experience Strong respiratory-assessment and patient-monitoring skills Experience administering oxygen and respiratory treatments Experience operating and monitoring respiratory equipment Knowledge of airway-management procedures Ventilator-management experience as applicable Accurate clinical documentation and recordkeeping skills Strong communication and interdisciplinary teamwork abilities Commitment to patient safety and compassionate care Key Responsibilities Provide respiratory therapy services according to physician orders and facility protocols. Assess patients' respiratory status and identify changes in condition. Administer oxygen, breathing treatments, and other prescribed respiratory therapies. Perform airway-management procedures within the Respiratory Therapist's scope of practice. Operate and monitor respiratory equipment. Assist with ventilator setup, monitoring, and management as assigned. Monitor patient response to respiratory treatments and interventions. Recognize and respond appropriately to respiratory emergencies. Document treatments, assessments, and patient responses accurately. Communicate patient updates to physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff. Follow all infection-control, equipment-safety, and facility procedures. Perform additional respiratory therapy duties as assigned.
