As part of the Respiratory Team here at BID Milton you will be required to work independently to initiate, monitor and discontinue both invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilator support. Other responsibilities include active participation in Rapid response and Code Blue pages ,airway care, tracheostomy care, nebulizer therapy, chest physical therapy, obtaining and interpreting arterial blood gas samples. You will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary care team to assess and provide optimum patient care.

This position is per diem, with various hours and shifts available.

Beth Israel Deaconess - Milton is looking for a Respiratory Therapist. The Respiratory Therapist will be working under the direct supervision of the Director of Clinical Operations and the Clinical Manager of Respiratory Therapy, performs as assigned the duties and tasks of a Respiratory Therapist encompassed within the license granted by the State of Massachusetts. The Therapist is responsible for the respiratory care of all patient populations seeking medical assistance in the
Acute and Outpatient SettingsEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs assessment, diagnostic testing, prescribed treatment and care of the respiratory therapy patient. Evaluates effectiveness of treatment and maintains department records. Must be able to work independently.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of respiratory care or qualified by experience and state licensureRegistered, or registry eligible, certified or certification eligible preferredCurrent Massachusetts licensureBLS Certification required, ACLS certification preferredComputer literate/telephone/copy machine/faxExcellent verbal communication skills/customer service oriented/able to perform with distractions in a fast paced environmentIt is understood that this is a summary of key job functions and does not include every detail of the job that may reasonably be required.
Pay Range:
$39.59 - $58.83The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
