Job Description

Lead ed Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Day Shift, Adult Acute Care + NICU Shady Grove Medical CenterIf you are a current Adventist HealthCare employee, please click this link to apply through your Workday account.

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Lead Respiratory Therapist for our Respiratory Department who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Lead Respiratory Therapist, you will:
  • Conduct and oversees daily operations efficiently.
  • Distribute the shift assignments.
  • Ensure that the staff is following proper policies and procedures when performing tasks.
  • Communicate with patients, families, coworkers and appropriate disciplines to provide total care for the patients and o0ptimal outcomes.
  • Round on their assigned staff members quarterly.
  • Manage resources to include staffing and equipment.
  • Ensure that the huddle is done prior to each shift.
  • Execute all other duties Qualifications include:
  • Graduate of AMA approved respiratory program
  • Must be a ed Respiratory Therapist by the NBRC
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to handle multi-taskings
  • Proficient in basic PC skills such as windows and excel.
  • Must have at least 3 yrs of Level
III NICU
experience.
  • Minimum formal education required, an associate degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum years of 3 yrs supervisory/management experience required
  • Will obtain an advanced certification within 1 yr of hire.
  • NRP certifications required
  • Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Pay Range:
$37.17 - $55.76 If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.
