Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide comprehensive respiratory care services for patients across a variety of clinical settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary and respiratory disorders Administer respiratory treatments, therapies, and medications according to physician orders Manage oxygen therapy and airway support interventions Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes Monitor patient response to treatment and recommend adjustments as appropriate Educate patients and families regarding respiratory conditions, treatment plans, and equipment usage Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to safety and regulatory standards Support emergency respiratory care and critical patient interventions when needed
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Current Missouri Respiratory Care Practitioner License Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Current BLS/CPR Certification Graduate of an accredited
Respiratory Therapy Program Preferred:
