A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

at Clark Fork Valley Hospital in Plains, Montana, United States Job Description Registered Respiratory Therapist- PRN Plains, MT Part Time Cardiopulmonary Mid Level Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. + Administering respiratory care and assisted ventilation to infants, children and adults with acute and chronic disease states in all areas of the hospital, following prescribed treatment. + Apply and monitoring mechanical ventilation . + Providing respiratory therapy in critical care, inpatient, outpatient and emergency settings. + Providing patient care in assigned clinical area and completes associated duties. + Communication with care team, patients and their family members and co-workers. + Participating in professionaldevelopment and opportunities for the advancement within the department. + Complete RT orientation checklist of essential duties within one year (probationary period) Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory . The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required . Education and/or Experience + An Associate of Science Degree in Respiratory Therapy is required. + Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care as Registered Respiratory Therapist, Licensed in the state of Montana. + BLS , ACLS , PALS , NRP This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a difference in a variety settings while enjoying the natural beauty and community of Sanders County.
