Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Advance your career as a valued Respiratory Therapist, working within a dynamic health system committed to excellence in adult and neonatal care. This contract role offers the unique opportunity to collaborate with an experienced team and support a variety of patient populations in a fast-paced environment. This role will involve serving multiple locations within a regional network, including floating to different facilities as needs arise—all within your scope of practice.
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time contract; flexible rotation as needed to meet department requirements Must be willing to float per regional needs; paid for travel time between facilities if floating mid-shift
Qualifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Active North Carolina licensure required Minimum of 2 years' experience in
Respiratory Therapy Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
(Resource Team requirements) Strong background in critical care, CVICU, NICU (no pediatric), emergency department, progressive care, and all floor therapies Proficient with EPIC EMR and equipment such as Servo ventilators, Trilogy, ResMed AirCurve, HiFlow, Airvo, NOXbox, and bubble cpap
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive respiratory care to adult and NICU patients, adapting to a variety of clinical settings Float between assigned regional facilities as needed, maintaining high-quality care and documentation Collaborate with department leadership and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, effective interventions Adhere to established clinical protocols and uphold a culture of teamwork and respect
