Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract An excellent opportunity is available for a skilled Respiratory Therapist. The ideal candidate is a Registered Respiratory Therapist who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and supporting patient recovery. This contract position offers a dynamic environment where expertise and dedication are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and implement respiratory care to patients of varying acuity. Administer therapies including oxygen, aerosol medications, and chest physiotherapy in accordance with physician orders. Monitor and evaluate patient response to treatment; modify care plans as needed. Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment such as ventilators, CPAP, and BiPAP devices. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding respiratory illnesses and therapies. Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record.
Qualifications & Desired Background:
Valid certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). Active state license or eligibility for licensure as a Respiratory Therapist. Previous experience as a Respiratory Therapist, ideally in a hospital or acute care setting. Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal abilities. Commitment to maintaining professional and technical knowledge.
