Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Advance your clinical expertise as a Respiratory Therapist working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this contract role, you'll utilize your Registered Respiratory Therapist credentials and deliver exceptional care to patients with cardiopulmonary needs.
Key Qualifications:
Valid, current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from NBRC Experience working in acute care, ICU, ER, or related hospital settings Strong skills in ventilator management, airway care, and patient assessment Proficient in administering therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory procedures Excellent communication and teamwork abilities BLS and ACLS certification preferred
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver direct respiratory therapy treatments to patients under physician orders, including oxygen administration, aerosol therapy, chest physiotherapy, and airway management Monitor, evaluate, and document patient response to therapy, making recommendations for adjustments as needed Operate and manage various respiratory equipment such as ventilators and BiPAP/CPAP devices Respond rapidly and effectively to respiratory emergencies and serve as an active member in code situations Conduct pulmonary function tests and other diagnostic assessments, interpreting results and communicating findings to healthcare team Educate patients and families on respiratory care, equipment, and preventive measures Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes This opportunity lets you impact patient care in a dynamic, high acuity environment while expanding your clinical skills.
