Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Deliver top-quality respiratory care as a valued member of a dedicated clinical team. Qualifications:
Active credential as a Respiratory Therapist with registration as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Current state licensure as required to practice respiratory care Proficiency with ventilators, oxygen therapy, airway management, and other respiratory modalities Strong assessment and documentation skills in a clinical setting Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary staff Previous experience in acute care or hospital environments preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' respiratory needs and create individualized care plans Administer prescribed respiratory care therapies and treatments, including aerosol medications, oxygen, chest physiotherapy, and mechanical ventilation Monitor and evaluate patient responses, documenting progress and adjusting interventions as needed Educate patients and family members on proper techniques for home-based respiratory therapies and equipment use Respond promptly and efficiently to respiratory emergencies and provide rapid interventions Maintain accurate, timely records and comply with all safety and infection control standards
