Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate professional who will deliver critical care and respiratory support to patients in an acute healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will hold the appropriate credentials and possess hands-on expertise in respiratory therapy.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active certification as a Respiratory Therapist (RT) and/or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Current state licensure as required for practice Familiarity with respiratory therapy procedures, including oxygen administration and ventilator management Experience with assessment, planning, and implementation of patient respiratory care plans Strong communication and effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure and fast-paced clinical settings
Responsibilities:
Provide therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care to patients of diverse ages and medical needs Administer oxygen therapy, manage ventilators, and perform airway clearance techniques Assess patient condition, evaluate therapy effectiveness, and document progress according to standards Educate patients and families about respiratory management and equipment use Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure coordinated patient care Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment Respond promptly to emergency calls to deliver rapid respiratory intervention This contract position offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to patient recovery and health within a supportive clinical team.
