Responsibilities include:
Administering respiratory care procedures under physician orders Managing oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, intubations/extubations Performing arterial punctures, analysis, phlebotomy Operating mechanical ventilation for all age groups Collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to evaluate treatment effectivenes Licensure & Certification NC Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Required Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Within 6 months of program completion Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Within 12 months of program completion
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
- Required based on patient population Education Associate's degree in respiratory therapy

NC Respiratory Care Practitioner
- Required Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Within 6 months of program completion Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Within 12 months of program completion
