Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Deliver excellent patient care and play a key role in supporting individuals with respiratory needs as a skilled Respiratory Therapist. Your expertise will contribute to vital respiratory services in a dynamic clinical setting, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
Active credentials as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Current, valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred Solid understanding of respiratory therapies, pulmonary function testing, and mechanical ventilation Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Effective communication abilities and strong attention to detail Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably hospital-based
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and monitor patients with respiratory disorders Administer therapeutic procedures including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, chest physiotherapy, and ventilator management Perform pulmonary function assessments as required Document treatment plans, interventions, and patient responses accurately in electronic medical records Educate patients and families regarding respiratory conditions and proper use of respiratory equipment Respond promptly to emergency codes and provide life-saving interventions Work collaboratively with nursing, medical, and allied health staff to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care
