Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Seeking an experienced professional to provide critical respiratory care. As a valued team member, you will deliver therapeutic and diagnostic services to patients, supporting their respiratory health through skillful and compassionate care. Key Responsibilities:
Assess, monitor, and treat patients with respiratory conditions under the direction of healthcare providers Administer respiratory therapies, including oxygen, aerosol medications, and mechanical ventilation Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases and pulmonary function tests Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff to develop and modify patient care plans Educate patients and their families on respiratory equipment and treatment plans Maintain accurate records of all treatments, assessments, and progress Ensure proper operation and maintenance of respiratory equipment and supplies Respond efficiently to emergency situations requiring respiratory intervention
Desired Qualifications:
Active credentials as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist Current state licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist Previous experience in acute or critical care settings preferred BLS and ACLS certifications (if not already obtained, must be acquired upon hire) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team Excellent organizational and documentation abilities This contract role offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment dedicated to high standards of patient care.
