1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with critical care experience for a 12-hour night shift position at a Level 1 Trauma, academic medical center in Winston-Salem, NC. Details Large academic medical center with 885 licensed beds, Level 1 Trauma designation, Chest Pain Center, and Stroke Center Respiratory Care department covering ICU and Medical/Surgical floors based on departmental need Patient population includes post-surgical, pneumonia, COPD, asthma, and ED patients Assignments are made based on traveler experience and unit needs — no formal floating requirement

EMR:

Epic (experience preferred) Preferred equipment experience: Servo U, Servo Air, The Vest, Volara, Aerogen, Heated High Flow, and cough assist; HFJV and HFOV experience preferred if assigned to pediatrics 12-hour night shifts, 1830-0700 36 hours per week Every other weekend rotation No on-call required 13-week contract Requirements Active NC Respiratory Therapist license required (license required if applicable) RRT certification required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy critical care experience Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Additional Information First-time travelers will be considered for this position Previous experience in a Level 1 trauma center or high-acuity organization is preferred Therapists are supported by Lead Therapists on each shift, with both Adult and Pediatric leads and a strong team-oriented culture Department is known for excellent teamwork with many long-tenured members and experienced leadership Orientation includes a facility new employee orientation (NEO) plus 1-2 days of departmental orientation Scheduling cycles run every 6 weeks Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays RTO (time off requests) require manager approval Scrub color: pewter (charcoal grey) Free parking available on-site Candidates who have worked a permanent position at an AHSE facility must be separated for at least 1 year before being eligible
