The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
Job Overview:
Adequately supplies oxygen and other compressed gas cylinders. Processes all respiratory equipment for utilization throughout the Medical Center. Performs scheduled calibration, ESTs and performs maintenance on all respiratory machinery where necessary. Qualification High school graduate and/or equivalent. Some knowledge of the medical field atmosphere and working with the public. Successful completion of all Orientation Programs. Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions):
Per Diem Day Essential Functions:
Accepts new or unpleasant tasks positively. Observes all policies pertaining to the section, institution and safety. Presents dilemmas and problems constructively and professionally. Processes contaminated equipment for future use. Remains courteous, friendly and helpful to patients, visitors, etc. Replenishes respiratory supplies in designated areas; records status and/or problems. Responds to all calls for oxygen refill regarding code carts. Stocks shelves and closets in all satellite storage areas. Takes charge of section responsibilities in absence of manager. Troubleshoots, calibrates and runs ESTs on ventilators; performs minor repairs and maintenance on all equipment. Provides a compassionate and supportive environment with prompt and consistent service.
