Respiratory Therapist We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Morristown Post Acute Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Morristown, New Jersey. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality respiratory care to our patients. About the
Role:
As a Respiratory Therapist at Morristown Post Acute, you will be responsible for: Providing respiratory care services to patients with a variety of diagnoses and needs, including those with cardiac, orthopedic, renal, and pulmonary issues Performing respiratory therapies, such as aerosol treatments, oxygen therapy, and mechanical ventilation, as ordered by physicians Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that optimize patient outcomes Monitoring patients' respiratory status and reporting changes to the healthcare team Participating in quality improvement initiatives to ensure best practices and optimal patient care
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments of patients' respiratory status and develop plans for respiratory care Implement and monitor respiratory therapies, including ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and aerosol treatments Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care conferences to discuss patient progress and develop treatment plans Provide respiratory education to patients and families, as needed Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate records and reports
Requirements:
Licensure/Certification:
RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification required
