Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Job Summary We are seeking experienced Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs) to provide direct patient care and respiratory services at Morristown Medical Center. The RRT will support patients with respiratory conditions, perform pulmonary function testing, initiate CPAP therapy, assist with durable medical equipment (DME), and provide patient education. The ideal candidate will have

experience or at least 5 years of respiratory therapy experience , with strong clinical, technical, and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Provide direct respiratory therapy services to patients across appropriate clinical settings. Perform pulmonary function testing (PFT) according to established clinical procedures and standards. Initiate and support patients with CPAP devices . Assist with requests for continued or replacement durable medical equipment (DME) . Support patients requiring oxygen concentrators, nebulizers, and other respiratory equipment. Set up and demonstrate proper use of DME equipment. Educate patients on appropriate use and care of respiratory equipment. Provide instruction on the proper use of inhalers and other respiratory therapies. Assess patients' respiratory needs and provide appropriate therapeutic support. Monitor patient response to respiratory interventions and communicate concerns appropriately. Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support patient care. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Demonstrate appropriate use of respiratory therapy equipment and technology. Follow hospital policies, respiratory care protocols, infection-control procedures, and patient-safety standards. Utilize computer systems effectively for clinical documentation and related responsibilities. Participate in weekend and holiday coverage as required. Perform other respiratory therapy duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required. Minimum 1 year of hospital or physician-office respiratory therapy experience . Strong computer literacy and ability to use electronic clinical systems. Strong patient-care, communication, and clinical assessment skills. Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Preferred / Manager

Requirements NICU experience preferred. PICU experience preferred. Respiratory Therapists with 5+ years of experience will also be strongly considered. Experience caring for pediatric and critically ill patients is highly desirable.

Education Required:

Graduate of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program .

Pay:

$50.00
