Job Summary $10K Sign-on bonus! We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients in various settings, including hospitals and clinics. This role requires expertise in respiratory therapy techniques, medication administration, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Our facility is committed to delivering exceptional patient care, particularly within our Level I Trauma Center and inpatient units. Duties Administer respiratory therapy treatments and procedures as prescribed by physicians. Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status, including vital signs and oxygen saturation levels. Provide basic life support in emergency situations and assist with ventilatory support for patients. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, particularly in geriatrics and pulmonology. Educate patients and their families on respiratory health management, medication administration, and home care techniques. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatments provided. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes within the department. Qualifications Valid Respiratory Therapy license or certification as required by state regulations. Proficiency in respiratory therapy practices, including ventilator management and medication administration. Experience in hospital medicine or clinical settings is preferred. Familiarity with geriatric care principles is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and medical staff. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to best practices in respiratory care.
