$71,000 - $105,000/year Job Summary We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide comprehensive respiratory care for patients across critical care, medical-surgical units, emergency services, and pulmonary diagnostics. This role offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative healthcare team while delivering high-quality patient care in a community hospital setting. Responsibilities Administer respiratory treatments, oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and chest physiotherapy. Set up, monitor, and manage mechanical ventilators. Perform pulmonary function testing, EKGs, arterial blood gas collection, and other diagnostic procedures. Assist with airway management, intubations, and emergency/code response. Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and equipment. Maintain accurate documentation and ensure respiratory equipment is properly maintained. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care. Requirements Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy. Active New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred (CRT accepted with RRT obtained within 12 months). Current BLS Certification (ACLS preferred). Critical care, pediatric, or emergency/transport experience preferred. Strong clinical, communication, and critical thinking skills.
