Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Respiratory Therapist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional respiratory care to patients across diverse clinical settings. In this energized and impactful position, you will assess, monitor, and treat patients with respiratory conditions, ensuring optimal breathing function and overall well-being. Your expertise will support critical care, emergency responses, pediatrics, geriatrics, and outpatient services within a fast-paced hospital environment. Duties Perform comprehensive patient assessments including vital signs, oxygen saturation levels, and respiratory status evaluations. Administer respiratory therapy treatments such as nebulizers, oxygen therapy, and aerosol medications in accordance with physician orders. Manage ventilators and other advanced respiratory equipment for patients in emergency settings. Assist with airway management procedures including intubation, extubation, and suctioning to ensure patient safety and comfort. Monitor patient responses to therapies, adjusting treatment plans based on physiology knowledge and clinical observations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care environments like emergency room, nursing home, swing bed, and outpatient clinic to provide critical support. Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities, medication administration, and vital signs in compliance with hospital protocols. Experience Proven hospital experience with a focus on critical care, emergency medicine, or pulmonology. Hands-on experience with ventilator management and airway management techniques. Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient settings including clinics specializing in geriatrics or pediatrics. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and respiratory therapy procedures. Efficiently and safely performed ABG draws Prior experience working in high-acuity environments such as ICU or trauma centers is highly desirable. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are preferred. Strong patient assessment skills combined with the ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced situations are essential for success. $40.00 - $48.00 per hour
