Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Deliver high-quality respiratory care as a vital member of a patient-focused clinical team for a 13-week contract opportunity. Providing expert evaluation and treatment, you will support inpatients, outpatients, healthcare staff, and the larger community.
Schedule & Hours:
Nights Every other weekend required 36 hours per week
Qualifications & Experience:
Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist Demonstrated proficiency in critical care and NICU environments Hands-on experience with V60 BiPAP, 980 Puritan Bennett ventilators Strong familiarity with EPIC Previous experience with external patient transports required Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification—Adult, Pediatric, Neonatal Excellent communication and organization skills Capable of managing healthcare information, medication administration, and dispensing systems (Soarian, MAK, McKesson)
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver respiratory therapy services as directed, including aerosol therapy, secretion mobilization (CPT/Flutter/PEP Mask), incentive spirometry, and M.D.I. therapy Perform suctioning, extubation, oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow cannula/humidifier therapy, cough assist/vest therapy Conduct pulmonary function screening, fit testing, pulse oximetry, and both adult and pediatric EKGs Manage mechanical ventilation, alarms, and all approved oxygen delivery devices Carry out arterial puncture and blood gas analysis, as well as quality control for the blood gas laboratory Maintain accurate records, verify physician orders, and report results appropriately Assist with in-service department programs and perform additional duties as assigned Seize the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, bringing specialized expertise to patients and care teams.
