What they do

A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

HAH01 Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Weeks Shift:
Days or Nights Available Schedule:
3x12-hour shifts | 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Minimum 2 year of Respiratory Therapist experience . Active New York State Respiratory Therapist License or Permit . Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the NBRC . Current
BLS, ACLS & NRP
certification. Recent Critical Care and NICU experience required. Experience with V60 BiPAP , Puritan Bennett 980 Ventilators , and Epic electronic medical records. Ability to participate in external patient transports . Strong clinical assessment, communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience providing care for neonatal, pediatric, and adult critical care patients. Experience with arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and mechanical ventilation. Previous travel healthcare experience. Strong collaboration and time management skills.

$68.00 - $72.00 per hour
