Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Deliver critical care expertise as a Registered Respiratory Therapist supporting patients across inpatients, outpatients, and affiliated community groups. This key position calls for excellence in evaluation and treatment, ensuring timely and reliable respiratory therapy services. The role will operate on night shifts, 36 hours per week with every other weekend, on a 13-week contract. Candidates must be ready to participate in external patient transports as part of their clinical responsibilities.

Qualifications & Experience:
Registered Respiratory Therapist with valid credentials Demonstrated experience working in critical care and NICU settings Proficiency with V60 BiPAP and 980 Puritan Bennett ventilators Familiarity with EPIC healthcare information system Previous experience with external patient transport preferred
Responsibilities:
Deliver respiratory therapy procedures following medical directives Administer therapies including aerosol, CPT/Flutter/PEP Mask, incentive spirometry, M.D.I., and suctioning Handle procedures such as extubation, oxygen therapy (all devices), and airway secretion management Manage BiPAP-CPAP, cough assist, high-flow cannula, pulmonary function screens, and ventilator alarms Conduct arterial punctures, blood gas analysis, and maintain quality control in the lab Perform adult and pediatric EKGs along with BLS life support in all age groups (adult, pediatric, neonatal) Operate and maintain respiratory equipment and medication systems (Soarian, MAK, McKesson) Accurately record and report results, maintaining all documentation and departmental standards Support departmental training and participate in additional related duties as required Bring your specialized skills to a collaborative environment where your experience and knowledge make a direct and meaningful impact on patient care.
