Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - Penfield, New York

The role focuses on providing high-quality respiratory therapy across the ICU, PCU, Emergency Department, and general floor, supporting patients with diverse and urgent respiratory needs.

Schedule:

Night shifts, 12 hours: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM 36 hours per week Every other weekend required No block scheduling Holidays as needed

Qualifications:

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with current NBRC credentials Active New York State license ACLS and BLS certifications Minimum 2 years of recent experience in acute care For non-U.S. candidates, at least 2 years of U.S. work experience required Must live more than 50 miles from the facility

Preferred Experience & Skills:

Strong background in ventilator and airway management Competence in emergency and critical care settings Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Exceptional patient assessment and communication skills

Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive respiratory care in adult ICU, PCU, ED, and med-surg units Assess, monitor, and treat patients with respiratory disorders Implement physician-ordered therapies and adjust care plans as necessary Respond to rapid responses and code situations Educate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment This is an excellent placement for a motivated Respiratory Therapist seeking a challenging, hands-on environment and the opportunity to work in a variety of adult acute care units.
